Rushton G. James
“…like so many Creole people, I've always wanted to learn the Louisiana Creole language but never had the resources. After years of searching,
I finally found a place to purchase a Louisiana Creole dictionary. The new challenge was that the dictionary was made available in paper or
pdf format only. Given my technical background, I wanted to search for an English word and automatically receive the Louisiana Creole translation.
What would even be more awesome, in my mind, would be the ability to listen to the pronunciation of the word so I knew how to correctly say it.
Obviously this did not exist, and there were no structured resources available that filled my need, so I decided to step up and orchestrate the first
online Louisiana Creole Dictionary. I really hope you find it useful.”
